Legend has it that monks on pilgrimage to Santiago, arrived centuries by sea, they chose the mouth of the Umia river to plant the first vines of albariño. Centuries of winemaking tradition last over time to give rise to wines such as Rectoral do Umia, made with the best selection of grapes of the Albariño variety and characterized by its freshness and perfect balance.

Made with a selection of Albariño grapes grown in the “O Salnés” subzone in the D.O. Rías Baixas, being a more citrus and floral wine.
Its maturation for several months on lees provides greater volume and creaminess, creating an unctuous and highly complex production.

A limited production of 4,574 numbered bottles through which the origin, uniqueness and excellence of this Albariño grown in the "O Salnés" vineyards are highlighted, just a few meters from the sea. A very special production from our Rectoral do Umia winery, located in the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin.
The oval-shaped concrete tank maintains a natural and constant movement of the wine, favoring its aging on lees, helping to round out edges, without adding flavor and maintaining the varietal expression of the Albariño, to obtain a wine of excellent structure and complexity.
